MAWOCN Program Associate, Dani W.
Dani (she/her/hers) INFJ is a multiethnic (Native American/African American/Hispanic) Roxbury creative entrepreneur with a passion to empower and serve the community; women of color in particular, especially in regard to survivors of DV and SA.
2011 to present she has owned and operated a mobile manicure business, through which she implemented a not-for-profit service to bring wellness through nail care and grooming to individuals affected by homelessness and domestic violence, serving at dozens of Boston Shelters and volunteering services and hundreds of community events since 2016.
Dani has taught nail care to teens and hosted interns through the Madison Park Development Corporation’s Youth Employment Programs and mentored and employed new manicurists. In addition to managing multiple social media accounts, and websites, creating social media flyers, marketing, advertisements, and content for her own businesses, Dani began offering service-based sole proprietors and business owners consultation assisting with creating logos, increasing social media presence, branding, website and booking efficiency, client communication, email marketing, reputation management, writing, research assistance, and event management. These skills led Dani to the Role of Program Associate at the Massachusetts Women of Color Network as of 1/26/2022 (also her 45th birthday!)
Personally: Dani is a mother, grandmother, friend, Beyonce fan, coffee connoisseur, avid reader, podcast watcher, lover of all things metaphysical, humanitarian, and lifelong learner. She lives by her mantra: “All is well” & her favorite Marianne Williamson quote: “Success means we go to sleep at night knowing our talents and abilities were used in a way that serves others.”
